Since the Bank of Montreal’s (BMO) establishment in 1817, it has grown into a multinational financial institution offering banking services, investments, and different credit products. BMO is particularly known as an exclusive issuer of Mastercards, but as of November 2020, BMO will be adding, for the first time ever, two Visa cards to their suite of credit cards.

  • BMO eclipse Visa Infinite* Card
  • BMO eclipse Visa Infinite Privilege* Card

Below we are taking a look at their BMO eclipse Visa Infinite* Card; a lifestyle reward card specifically designed for the urban millennial.

BMO eclipse Visa Infinite* Card

The BMO eclipse Visa Infinite* Card is a lifestyle Visa credit card that is designed for urban millennials. Millennials often describe their lifestyle as fast-paced, with little time to treat themselves. But with the BMO eclipse Visa Infinite* Card millennials have the ability to redeem their points with the same simplicity as a cash back credit card. Whether you’d like to use your points to treat yourself with a latte after a long day at work or with a vacation to fulfill your wanderlust, the BMO eclipse Visa Infinite* Card gives you the freedom to do so.

How to Earn Points With The BMO eclipse Visa Infinite* Card

The BMO eclipse Visa Infinite* Card works similarly to most other reward credit cards when it comes to earning points. With it, you’ll earn 5 points per dollar spent on groceries, dining, gas, and transit. All other purchases will earn you 1 point per dollar spent.

Currently, BMO eclipse Visa Infinite* Card is offering applicants a welcome bonus of 40,000 BMO Reward points. Simply spend $3,000 within the first 3 months of opening your account to receive 25,000 BMO Rewards points. The additional 15,000 BMO Rewards points can be earned once your account has been opened for 12 months and is in good standing.

Supplementary Cards

When you add a supplementary card to your account, you’ll be able to earn an extra 10% on your points.

How Do You Redeem Your BMO eclipse Visa Infinite* Card Rewards Points?

With the BMO eclipse Visa Infinite* Card points can be redeemed by shopping for merchandise or gift cards through their online catalogue or by booking trips or purchasing travel-related items. You can also choose to redeem your points as a cash deposit to a BMO investment account or on everyday purchases made on the credit card.

No longer do you have to accumulate a certain amount of points before you can use them. Here, you can redeem points for purchases as little as $1 dollar using BMO’s new “pay with points” feature.

BMO’s “Pay With Points” Feature

With the BMO eclipse Visa Infinite* Card “pay with points” feature, you can use your points to pay for any item you’ve purchased on your card. Simply follow these steps:

  • One, sign in to your account on bmorewards.com.
  • Two, go to the Pay with Points tab.
  • Three, choose what purchase you’d like to pay for with your points.
  • Four, select how many points you’d like to use for the purchase chosen.
  • Five, enjoy your reward!

BMO Rewards Points Value

The BMO eclipse Visa Infinite* Card uses the same points system as their other credit cards. As such, the value of each point varies depending on what you use it for. But, on average, 1 BMO Rewards point is worth $0.007 when redeemed for travel, this affords consumers the best value for their points.
